Anush Kumar Jawahar is a highly skilled and result-oriented Architect-cum-Engineering-Manager with over 14 years of experience in the design, development, and management of projects. Currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at Uber, he has previously worked with Amazon and Goldman Sachs in senior positions. Anush has led teams in the investment banking and e-commerce domain on big-data and machine learning initiatives. He has architected and managed projects involving distributed systems with a strong focus on design and user experience. He is highly experienced in choosing the most appropriate technology for solving problems, and has published a research paper on ‘Realtime Encrypted Search’ at the GHCI conference’19. At Amazon, Anush architected a distributed knowledge graph capable of detecting fraud patterns among associates. He also built a central library on top of CDK to build and deploy native AWS based applications and improve the operational readiness of systems. At Goldman Sachs, he designed and managed the team on implementing ‘Real-time Encrypted Search on Big-data’ using Elastic-search and Presto. He also designed and managed the team on implementing a ‘Chat-Bot’ using custom solutions on top of SVD, Syntactic-Topic generation using NLP Techniques and knowledge graphs. Anush also designed the strategy to build a reactive application by adopting Event Sourcing. Anush holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering.
